Consensys Property Management was founded in 1965 by Thomas F. Jones and his partners. Originally named “Rodriguez, Jones Inc.”, Consensys was the product of a long carpool ride to work every morning at the General Telephone Company of California. During this ride, the original partners discussed their shared interest of real estate and devised a plan to found a property management company. They saved their money and pooled their resources to purchase their first apartment building together. This was the beginning of Consensys Property Management.
Fast forward 50 years, and Consensys manages over 2,000 units in and around Southern California. It is a diverse portfolio which includes residential/commercial real estate, as well as HOA’s, and covers most of Orange County and South Los Angeles. Dr. Jones has four children: Suzanne, Kevin, Jeff, and Stephen. They have taken over operation of the company after his retirement, and are actively involved in managing the entire portfolio. They are committed to running the company for another 50 years, until the next generation of Jones’ are old enough to carry the torch.
